Paul Jones was the founder and inspiration behind Heathrow Weekend Freight Services in February 1981.

He started the company with the intension to provide a personal, reliable and efficient freight service on weekends. He knew there was a niche in the market for an "out of hours" freight service as few companies were offering any cover outside the typical working week. Within a few months the company was soon available seven days a week as customers wanted this same great service during the week too. The name has never changed and still continues to this day.

In March 2000 we joined Global Transport Organisation (GTO) to become the London office of the organisation. We now have over 500 worldwide affiliate offices of similar, privately owned freight forwarders for our own and our customer’s benefit.

In June 2000 the current premises in Stanwell were purchased. This larger office has its own car park and warehouse on site, and is ideally located close to the Cargo Terminal.

The company has remained relatively small in size to keep and maintain it’s well run and personal approach. With the introduction of Paul's son, Bradley Jones, in 1996 the company has gone from strength to strength. The company is still owned by Paul but his son Bradley is now acting as Managing Director.

In 2009, Heathrow Weekend Freight Services rebranded our logo and website to HWFS 24:7 express. We are proud of our fresh new image and we are looking forward to the future.
